FAQ

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE CLEANING MY HOME AND WILL IT BE THE SAME PEOPLE EVERY TIME?   
We prefer there to be one person cleaning your home, and it be the same person each time. This approach helps your cleaner get to know the unique needs of your home, thus ensuring a consistent, quality cleaning each and every time.
, But if you To replace our maid, please contact us early

Furthermore, using this method also permits you, as the customer, to know who is in you home and ultimately leaves you feeling more secure.

Larger projects we will accommodate as needed.


IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE CLEANING?
The only thing we ask of our customers is to please contain any clutter lying on the floor as well as counters. This makes it possible for us to clean your home properly and thoroughly. We also ask that in the summer months you set your air conditioning to an appropriate temperature. In winter months, please have your driveway and sidewalks areas cleared so your cleaner will be able to gain access to you home.

DO I NEED TO BE HOME DURING THE CLEANING?
It is not required for you to be home during the cleaning. Most of our customers are not home during their cleanings. However, if you do choose to be home it will be no problem for us.


WHAT IF I AM UNHAPPY WITH THE CLEANING?
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your cleaning, we will be happy to make arrangements to correct the problem at no additional charge. We are only happy if you happy!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY HOUSE CLEANED?
It is different for different people. Trying bi-weekly housecleaning is usually a good way to get the feel for what you and the occupants of your home need. Our Estimator will be glad to give you a recommendation based on your specific needs.

DO I NEED TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
No. You may cancel service any time. We do although have you sign a Customer Agreement stating our policies. This form is NOT a contract!

DO YOU PROVIDE LAUNDRY SERVICES (I.E. WASHING, FOLDING, IRONING ETC.)?
We will be glad to throw your dirty sheets in the washer and put clean sheets on you bed. But in the interest of time we normally do not provide laundry services.

WHAT HOURS DO YOU CLEAN AND CAN I PICK THE DAY I LIKE?
Our office hours are 9am-6pm.  We clean between the hours of 7.30am to 6pm.  We may be able to clean in the evening or on weekends for special requests.  In this event, off-hour rates would apply.  We will try our best to accommodate your preferred day.  Also, our estimator will ask you if you prefer morning, afternoon, or either and we will try our best to accommodate your requests.

WHY CAN’T I GET A HOUSECLEANING QUOTE OVER THE PHONE?
Coming to your home as opposed to giving you an estimate over the phone enables us to find out what your specific needs are and lets us give you an appropriate quote based on your unique home. You may need to give us special instructions about certain items or surfaces in your home, or show us places we may need to pay special attention to. This helps our Estimator be able to give you an accurate and reasonable quote.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PRO MAID SERVICES TO CLEAN MY HOME INSTEAD OF ANOTHER COMPANY OR INDIVIDUAL?
Experience! We are a family owned and operated company and have been in the housecleaning business for over 10 years. Many of our first customers are still with us.

WHY DO WE NORMALLY ASSIGN ONLY ONE PERSON TO A HOME?
Our approach is to focus on the needs of the client and the cleaning technician. First, we teach employees how to clean as a professional using professional products and techniques. Our cleaning technicians are all supervisor level employees. They are self-starters and are checked on frequently in various homes in the spirit of providing an extra set of eyes they really appreciate. When we consult with you on your cleaning needs we explain the value of having one person who knows how to clean and knows the specifics of your home as well. There is a level of security and accountability with one person who is regularly assigned to your home for you and them. If a team is necessary due to time constraints such as a baby napping we can make special arrangements.   

The result with our business model is one person gets to know you and your home. They only have to remember the details of several clients not several dozen. Employees are spending more time cleaning and less time riding. Hence, they are not always rushing to get to the next home. Their focus is taking great care of your home and there is a pride that comes with keeping “their” clients happy. Many of our employees have cleaned the same homes for years. They become like family in many cases. We never overbook and so we are able to have a substitute fill in when the regular person is out. The substitute has the information they need and if necessary are introduced to the home by a supervisor. On rare occasions someone may ask or help because they had extra work to do or they may not be having their best day. We work hard to support them in those situations.


WHY DOES PRO MAID SERVICES USE UNMARKED VEHICLES?
So many housecleaning services advertise on vehicles that many people ask us why we don’t. After all wouldn’t it increase our awareness in the community? After all, we do have over 30 vehicles on the road. Yes, it would. And that is exactly one of the reasons we do not. It brings undue attention to our employees and to our clients. We prefer to advertise in other ways. We also want to show respect for the desire of so many of our clients that may not want to advertise who is in their home. That is why you will not see our name and logo even on our company owned vehicles.

Another important reason we do not advertise is that our business model is built on the idea of empowering the employee. Instead of allocating funds to company owned vehicles we direct those funds to pay the cleaner considerably more which allows them to pay for a reliable vehicle of their own. They use it for work and then they may use it for their personal needs on there own time. This allows them to have a better quality of life. We require they maintain insurance and a good driving record. Additionally, we have insurance to address any issue their insurance would not. We believe unmarked vehicles are in the best interests of our clients and our employees.
